What Our Gutter Cleaning Includes

Every gutter clean is the same complete job. We do not run a cheap version that skips the downpipes and a premium version that does them — clearing the gutters without confirming the water has somewhere to go is not a finished job.

How the Job Runs

Four steps, no surprises. You know what is happening before we arrive and you get proof when we leave.

1. Free quote

Tell us the address and roof type. We assess length of guttering, storeys and tree cover, then give you a fixed price. No obligation, no doorstep pressure.

2. Booked in

We agree a date and time window. You do not need to be home — we only need perimeter access and a tap.

3. The clean

Gutters cleared by hand, downpipes flushed, flow confirmed, debris bagged. We work safely at height and treat the roof carefully.

4. Proof & tidy

Site left clean, debris taken away, before-and-after photos sent through. Anything we noticed on the roof gets reported to you.

What It Costs

We quote per property, not per metre, because two homes with the same guttering length can be very different jobs. The things that move the price are:

Quotes are free and fixed. Once we have given you a price, that is the price — we do not add variations on the day because the gutters turned out fuller than expected. If we get there and find something genuinely different from what was described, we tell you before we start, not after we finish.

Why Blocked Gutters Matter

A blocked gutter is not a cosmetic problem. When water cannot get to the downpipe it goes over the edge, and it takes the shortest path — which is usually straight down the wall, into the eaves, or back under the roof sheeting.

Water damage

Overflow runs into the fascia and soffit, rotting timber and staining render. Once water is tracking into the eaves it will find the ceiling, and a ceiling repair costs many times what a gutter clean does.

Fire risk

Dry leaf litter sitting in gutters is exactly the fuel ember attack needs. In bushfire-prone parts of WA, clear gutters going into summer are a genuine safety measure, not just maintenance.

Pests & mosquitoes

Standing water in a blocked gutter breeds mosquitoes, and the damp organic matter attracts rodents and insects looking for a way into the roof cavity.

Gutter Cleaning FAQs

For most Perth homes, twice a year is the sensible rhythm — once in late autumn after the leaf drop, and once in early spring before the storm season. If you have gums, jacarandas or paperbarks overhanging the roof, you will likely need three or four visits a year. Homes on open blocks with no nearby trees can often stretch to a single annual clean.

Price depends on the length of guttering, the roof pitch, how many storeys, and how compacted the debris is. A single-storey home on a standard block typically sits at the lower end, while a double-storey with steep pitch and heavy tree cover costs more because it takes longer and needs more fall protection. We quote per property rather than per metre, and the quote is free and fixed — you will not get a variation on the day.

Yes. Clearing the gutters but leaving a blocked downpipe just moves the problem. We flush every downpipe and confirm flow at the outlet. If a downpipe is blocked solid, we will tell you before we start any work that would cost extra.

We bag it and take it with us. Nothing gets dropped in the garden beds, flicked onto the lawn, or washed down the stormwater. Your property is left exactly as we found it, minus the debris.

We work from ladders and roof edges wherever possible, and where we do need to be on the roof we use the correct access points and tread on the strong points. Tile roofs in particular need care — a careless boot cracks tiles and creates leaks. If we do find a cracked or slipped tile while we are up there, we will photograph it and tell you.

Yes, though it changes the job. Mesh guard needs to be lifted or worked around rather than simply scooped, which takes longer. We will tell you at quote stage if your guard adds to the time. We can also advise honestly on whether your existing guard is doing its job — a lot of cheap mesh traps debris on top and makes things worse.

Working at height on a wet roof is not safe, so we reschedule. There is no charge for a weather reschedule and we will get you into the next available slot rather than the back of the queue.

Yes — we carry public liability insurance and work to safe-working-at-height practice. We are happy to provide a certificate of currency before we start if you would like to see it.

No. As long as we have access to the perimeter of the house and to a tap, we can complete the job while you are out. We will send before-and-after photos so you can see what was done without having to climb up and check.

Yes. We handle strata complexes, retail, warehouses and schools, and can work outside business hours where access requires it. See our commercial exterior cleaning page for detail.
